Our Story
At Roman Cement, we are revolutionizing the concrete industry through innovative research and advanced material science. Our journey began with a critical observation: most blended cements are produced by intergrinding cement, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), and mineral fillers without optimizing the particle size of each component. We hypothesized that strategically tailoring the particle size distribution of cement, SCMs, and fillers could enhance their individual benefits—such as full cement hydration, improved strength, and better flow.
To test this, we developed a proprietary approach to separately process cement, SCMs, and fillers, assigning each to distinct, complementary particle size ranges. This results in blended cements with a broad particle size distribution and high packing density, enabling us to create binary, ternary, and quaternary blends with reduced clinker content. These blends maintain or exceed industry standards for strength and performance while significantly lowering carbon footprint and global warming potential.


Expanding our innovation to the Ready Mix and Precast concrete industry, where producers often blend cement and SCMs themselves, we identified off-the-shelf SCMs and mineral fillers with particle sizes that complement cement. Through hundreds of laboratory tests, we’ve refined methods to optimize concrete and blended cement performance, achieving superior results with less cement and a reduced environmental impact.
